A Family’s Fight: My Inspiration for Creating a Health Resource

In 2021, our world turned upside down. Doctors diagnosed my mother with multiple myeloma. The news was devastating, and the challenges that followed were immense.

The financial burden and emotional turmoil tested our family’s resilience. But, amidst the chaos, a spark ignited within me. I was determined to create a resource to help others with similar struggles.

The Journey

The road to recovery was long and arduous. My mother had a series of treatments. They included a critical surgery to remove a malignant tumor.

The physical toll was immense, leaving her unable to walk. The emotional toll was even greater, as we grappled with the uncertainty of her future.

Family feuds surfaced, and caregiving duties fell squarely on my shoulders. It was a demanding and heartbreaking experience.

The Beginning

I saw firsthand the challenges families face in health crises. I saw a need for a platform for information, support, and inspiration. Healthy Family Place was born out of this desire.

We aim to empower families with knowledge and resources. I do this by working with experts in various fields (The Team) and researching our site’s topics. We want to foster a sense of community and hope.

The Motive
